3M Color Stable Automotive Window Films
No purple windows guaranteed!
Some people think that a customer asks for their car to be tinted with purple window film. The truth is the that film starts out as a smoke (black) window film. The dyes in this film are yellow, red and blue. From exposure to the sun the yellow dye fades out and hence the color purple!
3M is a leader in creating technologically-advanced window films. 3M's latest achievement is the creation of premium Color-Stable automotive window films that hold their color, are high heat rejecting and don't interfere with your satellite signals. All Color-Stable films come with a limited lifetime warranty. No purple windows. Guaranteed!
While most other window film companies buy their polyester and window film components from outside sources, 3M makes its own polyester and window film components in Minnesota. During this process, 3M patented a technology for producing its own Nano-carbon polyester. This revolutionary and unique process, allows for maximum heat rejection without metals, which can interfere with radio and/or satellite signals. It also gives our films a beautiful neutral black look with unparalleled color stability. Never before has anyone done this. In fact, it's so advanced that in time-based tests, 3M Color-Stable Auto Film held its color while most conventional dyed films rapidly changed to a purple color. No purple windows. Guaranteed!
We do not stock metal auto films. The Color Stable window films are close to the metal films in heat reduction. Metal window films are known to interfere with cell phone, GPS, satellite radio and AM reception. Most cars today are equipped with a radio antennae along the defroster lines of your rear glass. This makes it difficult for the satellite to find this antennae line with metal films.
Note: WE DO NOT TINT ILLEGALLY. The state of Nevada requires that the darkest tint on the front doors shall be 35%. Behind the drivers seat you can go as dark as you want. No silver reflective films are allowed on cars.
