One of the drawbacks of traditional metal window films is that they tend to act like mirrors.  From the inside, traditional window films make it difficult to see outside at night.  In the daytime, the outside reflection tends to give a home the look of a commercial building.  Metal films will also block your cell phone signals from the inside of your home.  Created in the Nano-technology  laboratories of 3M, these window films contain no metal. For most people, there are two primary reasons for installing window films: rejecting heat and protection from damaging UV rays.  3M Prestige Window Films do both remarkably well.  To measure just how impressive these films are, 3M created a more stringent specification: Total Solar Energy Rejected-On Angle.  This specification proves that our films are unsurpassed throughout the day, during the hottest times when you need the help most.  While some films claim similar performance, the fact is that their performance is similar when tested perpendicular to the sun which only can happen at the relatively cool times of sunrise and sunset.  3M spectrally-selective films reject 97% of the suns infrared light.  This is what we feel as heat.
